Its Been 6 Years….Let’s Catch Up!

Wow… has it really been six years since I last posted here? Honestly, it feels like both a lifetime ago and just yesterday at the same time. So much has changed, and yet some things have stayed exactly the same.

First of all, if you’re still here — thank you. It means a lot that you’ve stuck around (or maybe you just stumbled across this — either way, I’m happy you’re here).

Where I’ve Been,

Wow, six years is a long time! A lot has happened since then, and honestly, I’m not even sure where to begin…

My last blog post was back in 2019 and now here we are in 2025, some parts my life have changed drastically, in other parts it has stayed the same. Let’s start at the beginning…. In 2019 our world was completely turned upside down when we were hit with a flu that would forever change us as a society – Covid. We were shut down, couldn’t go anywhere, businesses were closed or shutting down completely and people all over world were losing their jobs, homes and families members. Marriages were falling apart, children were no longer going to school and everyone’s mental health was falling apart. 2019 and 2020 were the longest 18 months of peoples lives and to be honest I am glad its over and life is somewhat back to normal.

After the “C” hit, my back decided to act up and cause me a lot of grief and pain. So much that I ended up leaving my job and having surgery in April of 2020. It was the best option for what I was dealing with and I am glad I made the choice to have the surgery. Recovery was not easy, I gained trauma weight and lost myself in the process. It was hard on my mental health, I no longer enjoyed doing the things i enjoyed but with the support of my husband, best friend and family I was able to recover and rediscover myself. With the “C” and my back those were some pretty big changes in those first few years that I was gone. But there was some little changes as well…. my oldest got his drivers license, my youngest joined his schools volleyball team and we added an adorable English mastiff pup to our family.

It has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs over the past 6 years, but we made it through even stronger and ready to work towards some bigger stuff for the future – building a business from home, paying off debt, strengthen and challenging my mental/ physical / spiritual health, and reno’s on the house. There is much more that we are planning and i will share later in this blog.

There’s so much more I want to share, but I’ll save that for another post. For now, just know that I’m grateful to be back and thank you for sticking with me — or for giving me a chance if you’re new here. I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes us.

Love TJ
